The classic launcher game remains true to its origins
Snood is a puzzle game, originally created in 1996 for PCs.
A staple in many college dorm rooms, the game truly hasn't changed much since its inception over a decade ago.Simply connect three identical snoods by launching individual ones at those hanging from above, and that row of snoods disappears. If there are any other snoods attached beneath them, those too are knocked off. The goal is to clear the board before the ceiling drops so low it turns the remaining snoods into skulls, ending the game.
In many ways, it's great to see a game like Snood still out there and thriving. The graphics are simple and so are the rules, and that's what made Snood so popular in the first place. Snood's free version also has plenty of puzzles and difficulty levels to keep players occupied. You can even keep track of your top scores on the main game screen.
The problem is that Snood seems not to have been adapted very well, at least for Windows 7. The entire right-hand portion of the game screen is pixelated, making the scoreboard difficult to read. It doesn't actually impact gameplay very severely, however.
While this version of Snood still offers nice features like the ability to pause gameplay and change the screen background with a one-key click, the pixelated appearance can become distracting.

Snood, Where Have You Gone?.
We've been playing Snood for many years -- since it first appeared! However, sometimes, the game disappears and I don't know what causes this! We love it and it's missed! Anyone got any ideas? More

Snood, my best game.
Been playing for six years....60,000 plus games. Additive, self-paced, intelligent game. Wish the game parameters weren't so liberal; everyone should play with just a few settable features (after child, beginner, pro etc.).But...this is my best game ever: and I'm 76! More
